Ever do something really STUPID and hope it's not really as bad "in the light of day?" Late last night I was cutting out templates...getting tired...too much stuff in my way...decided my cutting mat was too big for what I was cutting, and not remembering WHY you use a cutting mat to begin with...CUT the template on just my table top. Luckily I realized the error of my ways quickly, but...in the light of day, I still have about a three inch slice in my table top!!! I'm hoping DH doesn't notice...I think with a bit of stain and a good buffing it won't show too much. Live and learn!!
