Here is my finished top. I will be FMQ most likely in clear thread. Thank you for all the suggestions - they really helped me get a feeling for what I wanted to do
Blue around the barn to represent the sky, the four plainer blocks in the corners, one inch to the bottom of the pumpkin as it was too short (cutter's error) I am sure, and a brown for the earth, then a green for the fields and lastly a blue border for the sky. I might have auditioned a nice sunshine yellow for the sun as the last border, but alas I have no nice yellows.
