The first thing to try is a new needle. If that doesn't work, then it looks like the timing is off. For me, that would mean a trip to the repair shop. Maybe someone here knows how to adjust the timing and can share that information. I did check the web site referenced for repair, but didn't see anything obvious other than buying the repair manuals.
