ranger - well, it's not attached yet - but the teacher said we were using the "Eleanor Burns' method" (I'm sure I spelled her name wrong). But you just cut a circle in the fabric you're using, and cut the same shape in fusible interfacing. Place the interfacing and fabric, right sides together, and then sew a quarter inch seam. Cut a small hole in the back of the interfacing, and turn out the fabric, so the interfacing is ready to be ironed down, and so the right side of the fabric is facing up. Does that make any sense? Then, after finger pressing the shape, we just plop it over the center of the dresden plate, and iron it down, then tack over it with a run stitch or applique stitch.
