I do like Prism99 except instead of pins for markers, I just put a little mark with a pencil on the long sash where it is supposed to line up w/block....it is marked on the seam allowance and on the wrong side of the fabric so no one but you will know it was ever there.......I do pin from one mark to the other in case of some easing that might have to be done......remember you are sewing a pieced block to a solid piece of fabric so the stretch in pieced piece might be more and thus have to be eased into the solid strip.........just take your time....
