The weather has been weird for us all. We had about 8 inches of snow, then we had an ice storm- an inch of ice. A day or so of near the freezing mark (which allowed us the hard labor of breaking up all that ice on the driveways), then a 2 day snowstorm of 20 inches of more, and now it's above freezing during the day and making a heck of a soupy mess of the giant snowbanks. Nothing like sloshing through a half a foot of melted snow cone-watery stuff. And, it's refreezing at night. I am waiting for the stuff on the roof to come down in an avalanche, because that freezing rain layer is still up there on the roof, buried underneath those 20 inches. The avalanches in the mountains kills skiers and snowmobile riders- it's worse when it's the kids dying. Not that I want the tornadoes my eastern friends are getting, but I will definitely appreciate our calm weather for the next 4 days or so. I can sew without having to stop to shovel.
