Thanks so much for posting this! I was just thinking about beer bread yesterday when I realized I have a couple of lite beers left by a visiting relative. I don't like it myself (give me a Riesling anyday!) and I was trying to remember how to make the bread. I thought it was 1 cup sugar, 1 beer, and 3 cups flour, but had forgotten about the "self rising flour." Is there a way to use regular flour and maybe add something like baking powder to make up the self rising part?
