Hi All -
I just felt the need to tell you what an amazing group of ladies you are. I haven't known you long, but I feel right at home. I realize that I need to actually SAY it, not just think it.
This epiphany was brought about, unfortunately, by the loss of one of my quilt guild members. She was with us all weekend at retreat, and by Tuesday, she was gone
We were all sitting in the funeral home tonight, and we all made a point to tell each other that. I hadn't seen many of her quilts since I am relatively new (3 1/2 yes) to the guild, so it was nice to see them - the family had put up quilt stands with about 10 or so of her quilts, and her exploding star quilt was on the casket, under the flowers. That idea is going in my list of thing for hopefully far in the future. But I just felt the need to say thanks for being so welcoming to me when I was new, and that I am really enjoying talking to all of you here on the board!
