Lovely quilting, and SID was just right for it. I never iron my backing. I load it on the longarm, tighten up the first section and spritz with water, just a little. You can just see the wrinkles disappearing. When that section is dry (or almost dry) roll to the next section and repeat. You might not want to take the time to do that with a customer's quilt, but it sure beats ironing.
That's an interesting suggestion though. The issue was she had washed and dryed the material and the wrinkles were set in.
