I don't know the "correct" method, but this is what I did: I spaced the PPs beginning in the center and meeting the corners. This was done with the points at the raw edge facing the center of the quiilt on the top side. Machine basted that down. Then I cut a strip 2" wide and enough to go all the way around the perimeter, pressed it in half as in doing a binding but only not as wide. Placed that strip over the PPs and stitched down as a binding. Turned the strip to the back and hand stitched it down as with a binding. Does that make sense? In garment sewing we call that applyng a facing.
