I have two nice featherweights and love to sew on a FW, but not at that price. Groceries and bills come first, perhaps new owner has lots of "playdough". I bought my first on Ebay for almost $200.00, and thought that was high. I bought the second one from a young lady here in town that was selling it on our daily radio Hotline- (her grandmother's machine) for $100.00, because she was tired of hauling it around in her moves-'silly girl', but oh well, I have a nice little second one - one is a 1935 and the other a 1937. Love them both, would never pay that high dollar price for one, that age. I paid a little more than that though for my Bernina 930 in 1985 NEW,but I still have it and just love it, and use both FW & Bernina for all of my sewing and quilting. I've made quilts on both. I loved her presentation and videos. You said it Marketing is the name of the game and she is a professional at her marketability.
