how did you mess up? now you just need to proceed with sashing to join the squares , as in quilt as you go so the sashing is on both sides.........you will have a fine scrappy quilt, and the next time do it the way the instructions say. i would not attempt to cut up the blocks you have made, too messy. does this help?
