Thank you, yes that helps and I am going to make my own and mine are going to be larger also. Hopefully my recepient will like them.

Most fabrics these days are less than 44" wide, so I always add an inch or so to the 18" side to make up for that ... most of mine are 19 - 20" x 20". Sometimes I add extra fabric just because I have it and I think the recepient would like it. hope that answers your question ....
