Wow - you got the deal of the century! You should write down what he remembers of each quilt, and include the details on the back of each quilt as you finish it....ie: name of piecer with approx date or 'made before' or whatever, state, details about the piecer, etc. Include names, dates of birth/death, and his details as one of the owners along the way. That way you're paying homage to the quilter of long ago, and passing along the provenance of the quilt for future generations. I'm so glad you purchased the quilts - often times people just throw these beauties away. I'm so happy for you!
