You did a wonderful job on it. It's going to last for a very long time.
My mom made a wooden chair for her house when my oldest was very small. She is 16 now and it has been used for all three of my kids. They use it as a chair, a stepstool, and flip it over on it's side to use as a slide. It still looks like the day she made it. Whenever I see the chair sitting at her house, it always makes me smile. I bet she never thought it would have been used that much when she made it.
