Just found this thread (I knew about the UFO challenge), and think it will be very helpful to me. Finishing one UFO a month is simply not doable for me. My quilting time is very limited and I do everything by hand. I am going to learn how to machine quilt - I've done it a little bit already, at least when it comes to making blocks for a top - but I want to finish the top I'm working on currently first before starting anything new. That way, I can make a top on the machine according to the book I've bought (Quilter's Academy Volume 1), while handquilting the top. Makes for some diversity!

The top I'm working on right now is an Irish Chain, single bed size. I'm currently assembling the rows. Then I need to sew all the rows together, sew the borders and then attach the borders to the quilt. I started this quilt during Christmas of 2010, so I've been working on it for a while!
