OK I have been out all day at my embroidery club so it has taken me a while to catch up on all the chatter...
JanRN, I do most of my own quilting, but Jamestown Landing was quilted on a HQ Avante longarm at my LQS, she rents out the machine so in effect you are doing the quilting. It is computerised so pretty easy..
Honchey my energy and inspiration comes from my beloved grandmother, I can remember as a small child sitting beside her and trying to learn hand embroidery, back them I did more unpicking than stitching.
But she taught me that handmade was always better than shop bought. The other reason I get so much done it my wonderful DH goes to work and leaves me at home for a whole week on my own, so what's a girl gonna do but play with all her toys
