Hi there everyone! I'm so excited to join the group! I've been doing some quilting research the last couple weeks and everything keeps coming back here, so I figured I'd better join.
Over the last 5-7 years I've taught myself to sew. Well actually, I think it was already in me since my grandma and mom are pretty amazing at it already. I usually make little things for my best friends kids, or clothes here and there for me. Well, then I decided I wanted to start making quilts. For Christmas last year I made 4 small (52x64") quilts for people gifts. They were the jellyroll strip quilts, and they came out amazing. I think it was a good introduction to quilting.
Then I had this crazy idea to make a quilt for my sister and her future husband for their wedding gift. Crazy? Probably. Then she told my mom that she loved this Lockwood pattern (
http://www.keepsakequilting.com/productdetail/6107.htm#) and I decided that I would make it. Really crazy, right?! So now I'm working on that and I only have two weeks to get it to the quilter or else it won't be done in time for the wedding. Wish me luck!
