Take the tram tour in St. Augustine (a tad pricey, but worth it) and then you'll know what else you want to see. It gives a great overview of the town and history. Be sure to get off the tram at the stops and see what's to see and then the tram will pick you up and take you to the next spot. Daytona is 1 1/2 to 2 hours away (south) and the drive is along the coast. You MUST go to Daytona to walk on the beach and in the water. Go north and see Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island.
