I regret not keeping all of my dad's ties when he passed away. He wore one every day for over 50 yrs. He had a BIG collection. But at his funeral each of the pal bearers wore one of his ties. It was very sweet and touching. My husband wore my favorite of my dad's that looks like a stained glass window. So at least I have THAT one.
just an idea - you could take that one tie, put stablizer on the back, then cut small blades and make a small wall quilt. You could even put dad's picture on fabric and put that on to the side.
