The class I went to with Paula (the one who does all of Alex Anderson's quilts) taught us to just start at about .5 and take 3 or 4 stitches at the beginning and the end. I didn't know about the rethreading and pulling it into the batting. I guess you can go either way...don't know what the quilting police say...not sure I care either... :wink:
