Miriam, I put a finger guard on my Spartan so Marcus, our 4.5 year old, could use that machine when he is ready. Right now he thinks my TSM's are his. He loves to hand crank the Singer toy sewing machines. My daughter and a friend's daughter sewed their fingers, so I got a finger guard from Sew Classic to keep that from happening to Marcus! I feel much safer with their finger's protected!
