I like the border on the blue, but the solid corner stones are bugging me. I think you should do a triangle in each corner stone so it connects them.
I agree. They are both beautiful quilts.
Here's a link for Quilters Cache and this pattern would be good also and just use the "X" block for the corners minus the line on the outside triangle.
