I too fell in love with and was inspired by this quilt! I made one for my grandson a couple years ago, his favorite color......black. It is the D9P block set on point with sashing stips and cornerstones added. The setting triangles are just the D9P block cut on the diagonal. I had no problem 'losing points' just took my time. It came out great and my grandson loves it!! I will be making another one with the left over B/w fabrics for my daughter....only using a bright purple in place of the red.
