I have friends who have the Janome Gem just for the purpose of traveling to quilt meetings/classes and they have been very happy with it. I've thought of getting one myself when my machine becomes too much to handle.
You will not go wrong with a small Janome! I have a big 6600 and a med. and a Jem for classes!!!!
