Welcome to the board! I spent two weeks in Edinburgh a few years ago for work and loved it! We did all the 'tourist-y' things like touring the castle and Edinburgh Underground.
I am just starting to quilt myself. I would love to have a mountain of fabric!
The quilters cache board (linked above) is a very good place to look for patterns. I like that they have links to completed blocks or quilts for each pattern so it is easier for me to visualize the finished product.
