Well, I sat down with the 500 last night to decorate some quilt squares. It wouldn't make more than one or two stitches without breaking the thread. I sat there and scratched my head in confusion. The last time I used the machine it sewed perfectly.
I went upstairs for a different presser foot, told my wife and she said put a new needle in it. I put the new foot in it and that didn't help much.
So I pulled the needle out and ........ I have no idea how it happened, but it was in backwards. It was in flat to the front. No idea.
Put it back in correctly and my machine sews perfectly again.
Gremlins I tell you, my house is infested with gremlins.

A 6" tall pole lamp fell over in the front room yesterday with no cats or people near it. Our close line in the basement broke last night. My machine tensions are going wonky .........
