To answer your questions-yes, it 'could' be called something else.
"Summer in the Park". However, those blocks are on point, but of course not necessary. And, it appears as if the extra 'shadows' around the blocks are missing from the pattern you are looking for.

I haven't seen a single picture of a Splits n Strips or Summer in the Park that wasn't beautiful. Wonderful fabric choices on all the quilts.
