I have the Bernina 1008...bought it new and have sewn at least 3-400 quilts on it...plus other mending I couldn't get out of
like heavy denim and jeans. The only thing that has failed on it was the metal piece that holds the bobbin in the case, and my OSMG fixed it in just a minute. I have to confess that that little break sent me off to purchase a few more machines "just in case"....
