Default My version of the Missouri Star Quilt Company Periwinkle Quilt

I have been in love with this pattern for ever (before Missouri Star came out with their tutorial) but couldn't find it anywhere. The M*QC tutorial uses their own template and papers but many have noticed that when it is put together, the points are lopped off. Being frugal (cheap!) I tried for 2 days to make my own template but couldn't get the angles correct. After many fruitless internet searches, I came across this paper pieced pattern on Sewhooked.com and found that this pattern is also known as the "Arkansas Snowflake". I printed off Sewhooked's free foundation papers on paper from a scribble pad that I bought at the Dollar Store for $1 for 60 sheets and off I went. This is for a 6" block which is smaller than the M*QC block but I am making a throw size quilt for myself and wanted to use what I had on hand fabric wise. I have several Moda "Ruby" charm packs so I lopped the charm packs in half for my "kite" section and cut 3.5" X 4" rectangles for the sides. The free foundation pattern is found here http://sewhooked.files.wordpress.com...ke_ofenjen.pdf Here is how I did it and 2 of my blocks sewn together with perfect points. I am sure if you wanted a bigger block, the pattern could be enlarged.
