I bought one of these machines about 5 yrs ago. They usually set up at large store, hotel, or community center to sell them. I liked the machine although I never used the serger function. If I remember correctly, there was 3 price level; I got the middle one. Google Necchi-check the reviews. I believe it's made by White; good reviews.
The only reason I don't still have it is because I "needed" a new machine with all the bells and whistles (which I still haven't figured out all of them). I gave the Necchi to a friend's dtr and she's using it for all types of sewing including denim jeans. It is a very heavy and sturdy machine.
