PIZZELLES...not pizza! There's a world of difference. Here's our very favorite recipe. It's a requirement at Christmas. enjoy
3 eggs
1/2 teas. anise (I use more)
1 teas. Baking Powder
1 teas. vanilla
1 3/4 c flour
1/2 C melted and cooled butter
3/4 c sugar and
powdered sugar for decorating
Beat eggs and sugar and add butter, vanilla and anise. Add flour and baking powder and add. Batter will be stiff...drop by spoonfuls. When done, sprinkle with powdered sugar on top. These can also be rolled up like cannoli and filled with ice cream, fruit, etc.
