I printed two blocks also and they are so pretty and neat. this a great paper piced block for a beginner. I fine copy paper is so hard to pull off so I had to lock my seams as not to pull the threds out. it is a six inch block. I love this forum and have gotten such great tips on how to make a quilt top everyone is so helpful thank you
Sophia - If you are going to use regular copy paper there are a couple of tips that will help you.
1. Buy the cheapest, thinnest copy paper you can find! I found some scribble pads at the Dollar Store $1/60 sheets. I think mine was 9 X 11 1/2". I just trim it down to fit into my printer. It is thinner and tears A LOT easier than copy paper
2. Shorten your stitch length. My Janome auto sets at 2.2 and I will decrease it down to 1.8.
3. I always fold the paper at the stitch line to help weaken it before I tear it off.
4. Take a small paintbrush or cotton swab, dip it in water and run it across the paper at the stitch line. This weakens the paper and it comes right off.
Hope these help!
