You're not alone with the QE4 FMQ problems. I bought this machine in November and it's been back at the dealer/Pfaff since 9th January because of exactly the same problem. It's now getting a new part..........
My Janome will FMQ in metallic - I'm so disappointed with this machine.
Did you ever get yours to work?
