Years ago, Coats and Clark made excellent thread. But, not any more.
The only thing I use it for now is to hand baste quilts and to zig-zag raw edges of fabric to be washed. When I'm finished with a batch of zig-zagging, I MUST clean out the bobbin area because it's so linty!
I use Presencia now. It's the only brand we sell in the shop.
