Thumbs up Cathy's Turning Twenty quilt

I think some of you know that I teach Patchwork, it's at a local village hall and we started it in September 2011. Cathy has been there from the beginning and was a complete newby, in fact I can remember her excitement when she made a first coaster for Xmas presents

Well these pictures are an example of her progress. She borrowed from me last week my copy of the Turning Twenties pattern, and in just once week look what she put together. I am in awe, she chose and bought the beautiful leaf fabrics from Carol of Fabricgalore.com (Thank you Carol she was so thrilled at your little hand written note that was in her order)

She paired off the lovely fabrics with a selection of plain and let her creative juices flow and came up with appliqueing leaves on the plain blocks, and the strips of fabric in the alternative corners on the borders really brings a zing to it. I must add that I think her points are wonderful, just think she has come this far in just 15 months, there is hope for me yet!

I think it is absolutely gorgeous and by far the loveliest TT I have come across, but maybe I am biased

My apologies for the poor picture quality I will get a better one, promise.
