Do you have the manual? Page 16 shows you how to lower the feed dogs. I eventually put a black marker beside the wheel to show me what was up & what was down. I one time pushed so hard on the wheel I shoved it right up inside & had to take it in for repairs.
The first little blurb on this site is for that machine.... I don't recommend the fabric mover as it's for such a small space, but the first page shows what you were asking about.
