When I first started teaching, I taught girls in their teens. I chose the month of Feb and these girls sewed unselfishly the whole month for babies. Mostly the clothes are knits, some flannel. There are very specific patterns. I think this started for premie babies. Sometimes the fabric is donated. I know I've donated a lot of knits to my friend. Please check out the website it's a very worth while cause. Oh and some women only make the burial gowns for the babies.
