http://thatquilt.blogspot.com/2010/05/ls-1.html] - I have decided to go with thatquilt's exactly. If you use their approach, the one thing to note is that the large piece is appliqued once the rest is pieced together [paper pieced]. The center white 'horseshoe' is one piece and extends upwards so it is easier to attach to the top section minus the piece to be appliqued. I'm not going to repeat the instructions, just thought I would clarify this a little for those who may question it.
