Ok starting out with a clue, SP is in an area where agriculture is important to the area.

Nancy I was thinking maybe your sp collects flip flops but maybe they aren't out of season in the southern areas, maybe it is halloween stuff.
belfrybat- in addition to what Teresa said about most wanted item-another thing is the swap is to kind of get to know others. So maybe your SP listed her truly most wanted item even though it is way beyond the listed budget as a way to get to know her. Others may list a 'most wanted item' that is within the budget but may not be the most wanted item that they want of anything, this swap is about having fun and getting to know each other, and spending lots of time on the board.
Oh and for International or even domestic, flat rate isn't always the best price, if it would cost more to send the regular way-first class or parcel or even regular priority-and will fit in flat rate, then it is a deal, other wise send a normal method. If you have a scale at home you could check the cost with the usps site to see what the different ways to send cost, also if you like to print your paid label and have it picked up -you do have to do flat rate for that. I have seen many times people come into the post office with their stuff in a opened box, have the clerk weigh it and then either take it to the customer use counter and seal it up and address it or transfer it into a flat rate box after getting the rates from the clerk.
