The packages of craft felt I bought are 72" wide and on the back it says washable and no-heat dryable. But the more I think about it I really haven't heard of any felt that would stand up to even a gentle cycle washing. I will permanently attach it. I do want to hang the board in such a way that if I wanted to move it to another room,I could do it without messing it up. The wreath hangers and rod is a great idea.
