Default 2 quilt finishes, charm quilt and vintage cross stitch quilt

I made the charm quilt in 7 days start to finish. Made for SIL that has breast cancer, she'll start chemo within the month. The colors chosen were for their healing properties, you know... color therapy. Pink was my last choice but after doing some research I found that pink is good for the healing of skin and is used in breast cancer color therapy. Green and violet were also the two other colors that were used for this therapy. All the 5" charms were plucked from my stash and the center wreath was from an old quilt book. I also sent her a rosemary candle that I made from the rosemary out of my garden. It too has healing properties.

The cross stitch quilt is my moms. She stitched these back in the 70's or 80's and never finished. I'm hoping that the pre stamped lines wash out. If nothing else she can put it back side up! She gave me permission to do as I pleased with the quilting, so I found a happy medium between custom and fluffy. I find that older quilters, most of the time like it fluffy. Poly batting, 100 wt invisfil thread. My original intentions were to hand quilt, but....I'm a machine quilter I caved!
