Oh I know what you mean and can be of no solace to you. A well meaning friend told me "...you can never have too much fabric." My DH would strongly disagree, but I'm still trying to get him to understand the word "stash." When I started quilting I bought fabric like it was never going to be available ever again and I had to build my stash. Now when I see something I can picture in a project I buy three yards and put it away. I have too much fabric, if there is such a thing, but I can think of something to do with each and every inch of it. So this reply was of little comfort, but know that you are in very good company.
