I think with this one you're mostly going to have light and dark blocks in the same color palette, since pattern is so small and intricate, but I think it will be beautiful. I think it will end up looking similar to the "single-color" OBWs, kind of like an antique Persian tapestry. I say go for it!

Edited to add: What's the repeat length on the pattern?
It is 18" repeat so I'm going to get 9.5 yards to do 3 sets. I'm also thinking of getting the fabric for the back so that on the front you have the obw and on the back the original fabric.
