I don't know about the site or her kits, but I might suggest that I have seen a similar technique, using foam insulation board, a kitchen butter knife, pieces of scrap fabric. You draw the pattern on to the foam board, score the foam with a knife, maybe half an inch deep ...
then, lay the fabric over, use the butter knife to push the fabric into the crevice, and voila! a quilt without stitching a thing!
I have seen also that people have taken the round styro foam balls and other forms, wreaths ... topiary trees ... and done the same thing. It is quite a versatile technique.
