I bought a Bosch & loved it, but sold the home. Thereafter, have had GE appliances in the homes we leased. They were good, so when we bought a "new to us" home, we replaced the old dishwasher with a GE. It is relatively quiet, but I usually run it at bedtime, just in case. LOL I can lots of $$ on some things, but this mid-priced item seems to do the job satisfactorily for us. DD has a Sears and it does not wash completely. Tell DH to move the trash and go buy what your budget allows, that is, unless he will be the permanent dishwasher, available on demand! It is not a luxury any more, but a health requirement.
