I always wanted to quilt. But I live in a small town and didn't know where to go. I even bought a quilting for dummies book, but couldn't figure out all the terminology. Then about 3 years ago I heard abut the technical college having starting an artisan center in my small town. I checked it out and started taking classes. I am still in open lab classes, and enjoy the social time of quilting. My teacher has everone start with a log cabin. Here is a picture of my first log cabin and the heart was the first thing I did by myself.
