I was searching through Father Browne pictures (
www.fatherbrowne.com)and ran across this old Singer in use at a boot factory in Ireland during WWII.
(Father Browne is the person who took LOTS of pictures of the Titanic on the maiden leg of it's ill fated voyage, but then was ordered off the boat before it sailed to America)
