Default Hand Quilted Log Cabin Diamond Star

I posted this quilt earlier last autumn, when it was just a top. Some of you requested to see the finished product after it was quilted, so here it is. Those of you with experience in hand quilting will appreciate the following; it took 440 yards of thread to stitch in every ditch and do all the cross-hatch and feathers on the corners and borders. I did not quilt it; my MIL, who is my partner in these quilts, hired a local Mennonite lady to do the stitching for us. The pattern originates with Dunster, who has copies of the pattern if you want to buy it. We enjoyed this so much that we made a second quilt top with similar colors, and that is now sent out to be quilted too. Hope you enjoy looking. I'll post photos of the whole thing, plus the corner and the back so you can see the beautiful stitching.
