when i quilted my lst jane, i kept thinking, 'i am not good at this" and she was thick in places. but i just kept going. and of course when i looked at the hand quilted quilts at the fair---i didn't think my quilting measured up. everything you hear about quilting, or read says --'rock your needle'. well, some places, i just could not rock because of several thicknesses.
and Ohhhh several days ago, i was nosing around on sites, and watching this or that. and i heard some hand quilter say--'rock, but sometimes you just can't because of the thickness, so just 'jab'. " which is what i did. but then the quilting on the back did not look 100% perfect or like my grandma's did when she used to take first place ribbons in oklahoma when i was a kid. but she is done, and she looks beautiful. and i am really happy with her.
